Boosterthon
The Boostherthon Fun Run will be at 8:15 on Thursday morning. You are welcome to come cheer your child on while they run. It will be outside. Also, we are at $19 per lap as a class so we have earned a hat day and crazy sock day! The whole class will celebrate with both on Monday. Those who registered on Boosterthon looked comfy today in their pajamas! (I forgot to get a picture during the day so I was not able to include everyone since some students had already been dismissed.)
Book Review
Studnets wrote a book review during their media center lesson. Mahciah's and Levi's are posted in the hallway for all to read.
Math- We will start the lesson in Chapter 5: Patterns and Fluency with Multiplicaiton. The studnets will have a graded division assignment on Wednesday. If you would like to learn more about what your child will be learning, please read the Family Letter for Chapter 5. The students continue to use Reflex to strengthen their fluency with multiplication. They are welcome to use it at home too.
ELA- We started discussing theme last week and will continue. We will also focus on figurative language (metaphors, personification, similes and idoms). Students will write the final copy of their personal narrative.
Science- We will focus on Habitat Changes by humans, animals and the environment.
Social Studies- We will have a graded assignment on Tuesday, but nothing they need to study for. They will be completing an assignment called a One Pager.
