Curriculum
Math- We will wrap up our work in Module 3, Multiplication and Division, with a test on Friday. Please encourage your child to continue to practice their multiplication facts and division facts. Students can practice their fluency (addition, subtraction, multiplication division) on the following website. https://www.mathsisfun.com/numbers/math-trainer-multiply.html
Language Arts- We will continue to discuss text structures (compare/contrast, description, sequence, cause/effect, problem solution) with nonfiction books and passages. The students will have a test over this material on Tuesday, January 28th. We will also continue with our informative writing unit. The students will also write autobiographies from the pet rock's point of view.
Social Studies- We will continue discussing Colonial Times in SC. The students will most likely have a test over this unit on Wednesday, January 29th.
Science- We will be discussing landforms and how natural events and human activities impact the environment. (fires, landslides, floods, farming, mining etc.)
