Pet Rocks
Love the creativity the students used on their pet rocks!!! We had a cactus, frog, Spiderman, Stitch and many more. The students will use their Pet Rocks for a writing assignment and we will be incorporating some technology too. Excited to share when we are done!
Curriculum
Math- We will focus on third grade math standards that are not part of Eureka this week so we are not in a certain module. We will focus on comparing and ordering numbers up to the hundreds place value as well as discussing expanded, word and number form. The students are using the website below in class that can help them with their subtraction, addition, multiplication and division fluency. If they have time at home they can practice as well.

Language Arts- We will continue to focus on the skill of comparing and contrasting texts. We will also continue informational writing with topics the students are experts on. The students will also be working on writing an autobiography about their pet rock from their perspective.
Social Studies- We will wrap up our discussions on Colonial Times with a test on Friday. We will then move onto the Revolutionary War.
Science- The students will have a test on Wednesday over rocks and minerals. We will then move onto Soil.
