Columbia Fireflies Reading Program 

Your child is coming home with another reading log. This one is for tickets to a Fireflies game. I would love to see everyone to participate! It is due back by March 31st.

We simulated a volcanic eruption this week. 

Math- We will wrap up Module 5 with a test on Tuesday. We will also review a little for MAP math next week before we start Module 6 on Collecting and Displaying Data. 

Language Arts- We will continue to look at figurative language focusing on idioms, hyperbole and onomatopoeia this week. The students will have a performance task to complete on figurative language instead of a test. 

Science- We will wrap up Fast and Slow Changes to the Earth with a test on Thursday. We will then move into Matter. 

Social Studies- We will wrap up Government with a test on Wednesday, which will be open book and notes, and move into Antebellum Times.
