It is hard to believe Thanksgiving is next week and December is right around the corner!!!

Miss Schriefer
Miss Schriefer, USC Intern, will only be with us for two more days. Thursday, December 3rd will be here last day. She has done a great job and I know the students will miss her, but they will still get to see her at school because she will be in fifth grade next semester.

Math- We will continue to work on Module 3, Multiplication and Division. The students will have a quiz over lessons 9,11, 15-18 on Tuesday, December 1st.

Language Arts- The students will continue writing a story from the point of view of a turkey. Our story after break will be "Here's My Dollar". We will focus on Author's Purpose. The students will have a test over the story on Friday, December 4th.

Science- We will focus on Life Cycles and Food Chains.

Socials Studies- We will continue learning about exploration in South Carolina. We will focus on Hernando DeSoto, Jean Ribault, Juan Pardo, William Hilton and Henry Woodward.  The students will continue to work with their groups on their Paper Slide Video. They are becoming experts on an explorer and will teach the information to the rest of the class using their video.

Have a great weekend!

Box Tops

Box Tops
The next Box Tops Collection Contest ends on 11/18.
It is easiest  if you use the collection sheet with footballs that was sent home last week, however, I will take them in any format.
If you also have Labels for Education or Tyson labels, feel free to send them too and I will ensure our class gets the credit for them.
Thank you for your support!

Metric Week Trivia

The school celebrated Metric Week last week with a short video and a trivia question on the morning show each day. I had several students who did a great job of researching the questions asked!! I was very impressed! Yesterday, Mrs. Bright announced the winners of each trivia question and the winning student received a treat. Congrats to Harrison Knight and Andrew Black for giving the correct answer to two of the questions last week!!!

Congrats!!!
