I wish I had more than text to share, but being virtual makes it hard to share pictures. I will be packing up and "moving" back to school next week. It will be nice to get out of the house a little more. Just a reminder we do not have school on Monday or on Monday, January 25th. Please make sure you ask your child about the science project that was assigned today (see more details below). Have a wonderful weekend!
Curriculum
Math- We started Chapter 8: Add and Subtract Multi Digit Numbers today. Please encourage your child to practice their multiplication facts. They can use the following website: Math Trainer. *When we start Chapter 9 your child will need the Volume 2 Math Workbook so if you did not pick it up already, please let me know so I can arrange for you to get one.
ELA- We continue to focus on summarizing texts. Your child will have a graded assignment on Thursday. In writing, we will be working on literary analysis. This type of writing also involves reading since we will be analyzing texts.
Science- We continue to focus on rocks and minerals and the students will have a test over the material on Friday. The students had a pet rock project assigned to them today. It will be due on Tuesday, January 27th. I cannot wait to see their creativity!! The guidelines for this project are in their Google Classroom.
Social Studies- We will not be focusing on social studies.
