We have Chromebooks!
The students set up their Chromebooks in computer lab on Thursday. We will start using them in class. The students are aware of the Acceptable Use Policy and I know they will be great Leaders and adhere to it so they can use their Chroembooks in class.

Curriculum

Math- We will start with Module 1 in Eureka Math. Module 1 covers Properties of Multiplication and Division.  We will have a quiz over lessons 1-3 on Friday. I emailed out a  Math Tip Sheet that you can look at to see what we will be covering in this module.

Shoe Towers

The students participated in a teamwork challenge to practice Habit # 6, Synergize. They worked in groups to build the tallest tower with their shoes. They did a great job of synergizing and working together. They also used Habit #2, Begin with the End in Mind, before they started by making a plan.

Tall Teachers

The students met their "Tall Teacher" today! There is a USC class being taught in our school this semester to college students studying to be teachers. The class focuses on Reading. Our class will be allowing these "Tall Teachers" in our room each Tuesday for a short period of time. Each student in my class is paired up with a "Tall Teacher".  I know my students are super excited to be their "Small Teacher".

A Look Ahead

Friday Folders
Your child is coming home with their green Friday Folder today. This folder will come home each Friday. It may include flyers from the office, important information and assessments. Please look through the folder each weekend and send it back to school with your child.

Parent Letters I've enjoyed reading the letters I have received about the students in my class. I have already noticed some of the things you have said are your child's strengths and weaknesses. Thank you so much for sharing! I look forward to reading more.

MAP Testing
Your child will be taking the Reading and Math MAP test next week on Wednesday and Thursday.
