Kona Ice

The class enjoyed Kona Ice today for the end of the year celebration! Thank you, PTO!

Last Week of 3rd Grade

Only 3 days until the end of third grade! It doesn't seem possible. We will be doing some fun activities next week to wrap up the year. 

3rd Grade Autographs

Tuesday the class will meet with all the other third grade classes to sign autographs. If your child bought a yearbook, please make sure they bring it to school. 

Transportation Sheet

I'm sending home a transportation sheet in your child's Friday Folder so you can let me know how your child will be going home on the two half days, Wednesday and Thursday. Please fill it out and return on Tuesday. (Even if your child's transportation is staying the same.)

Figure Me Out
Students designed posters with different facts and math equations about themselves. Their peers have to "Figure Out" the  equation under each fact to find the answer. 

Electromagnets

The students successfully worked as teams using what they have learned about electricity and magnets to build an electromagnet. They did a great job of working together to complete their task!! 

Peter Pan

The school watched the Drama Club perform Peter Pan today. Great job to Taylor, Shane and Lily for their performance as mermaids! 

Last Full Week of 3rd Grade

The students seemed to do well on State Testing this week. Fourth and Fifth grade finish up testing next week so I know the class is thankful they are done!

Please look for two sheets in your child's Friday Folder explaining some great opportunities this summer!

BOGO Book Fair
The book fair is open on Thursday and Friday for students to purchase books. We will go as a class on Thursday morning. Your child will also have a chance to pick out a free book on Monday, thanks to PTO!!  

Bag Lunches
Staring Wednesday the cafeteria will only be offering bag lunches. The choices for next week are below...
Wednesday-BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, Turkey Sandwich
Thursday-Grilled Ham and Cheese, Chicken Salad Sandwich 
Friday-Drumstick with Roll, Ham and Cheese Sandwich

Math- We will wrap up Module 7 with a test on Wednesday. 

Language Arts- We will have a test over Chapters 7-14 in Lemonade War on Tuesday. We will work on opinion writing and start reading Lemonade Crime.

Science- We will continue discussing electromagnets.

Social Studies- We will continue discussing life in the 1900's in SC.
