Wall of Fame

Paige joined our Wall of Fame today as she is now 100% fluent with her multiplication and division facts!

Candy Weathering and Erosion

The students experimented showing how weathering and erosion can occur using Skittles, sandpaper and water droplets. It is always more fun with candy!

Math- We will move into Chapter 12: Understand Time, Liquid Volume and Mass. If you are interested in reading about what your child will be learning and expected to do, please look at the Chapter 12 Family Letter. The students continue to use Reflex to strengthen their fluency with multiplication. They are welcome to use it at home too. We will take the Math Benchmark Test on Wednesday.

This writing unit involves reading skills as well since students will learn how to analyze a text. We will take the ELA Benchmark Test on Tuesday.

A Look Ahead

Morning Show

Emma did a great job as a guest on the morning show this week. We have a few more students in the next couple week as well.

March Madness
As part of Women's History Month each class in the school was assigned two women's basketball teams to follow during the tournament. We have American University and University of Michigan (I was NOT happy since this is Ohio State's big rival.). We researched the two universities and Tyler, Levi, Camdyn and Jayla make a slide for each college. Some students filled out their own brackets to predict who would win. It will be interesting to see if anyone in our class filled out a correct bracket.

St. Patrick's Day
The students enjoyed our Lucky Charm fraction lesson in math as well as some yummy green punch.

Math- We will wrap up Chapter 11: Understand Fraction Equivalence and Comparison with a test on Thursday. If you are interested in reading about what your child will be learning and expected to do, please look at the Chapter 11 Family Letter. The students continue to use Reflex to strengthen their fluency with multiplication. They are welcome to use it at home too.
